Orchids - Growing Orchids Indoors

Growing Orchids Indoors

Most orchids can be brought inside while they are in flower however, they must go back outside to re-flower and should be grown outside all year ‘round other than when in flower.

Phaelenopsis Orchids are an exception to this and are ideal as indoor plants all year ‘round.

Remember, do not over water your indoor plants. Most people over water orchids with the same kindness as their other plants. Orchids, such as Phaelenopsis, which are kept indoors all of the time, are in your view a lot of the time, but you need to resist the tendency to keep watering them (most orchids should only be watered once a week in the Winter and twice a week in the Summer).

Phalaenopsis orchids can last a lot longer than other orchids.

Phalaenopsis orchids can last up to three months in flower and because of this can be great as a flowering gift (as they certainly won’t last three days like a bunch of flowers which can be purchased for the same price or even more).

Happy Growing!
